Assistive Technology for Students with Learning Disabilities

A study conducted by Gabrielle Young, PhD, on the basics of assistive technology and its impacts on students with disabilities. The author explores different types of AT , from low tech to high tech, and how they can help students with different learning disabilities succeed in the classroom.  She also asserts that assistive technology usage in the classroom can only be implemented successfully if and when there is appropriate training for the staff. It is just as important to have quality staff training in order to promote optimal use of technology.
