Embedded Supports to Differentiate Instruction for Struggling Students

Many struggling students, especially those with learning disabilities, find reading and writing very challenging. In order to help these students meet the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts (ELA), teachers may need to incorporate a variety of embedded supports into instruction, including technology tools and Universal Design for Learning. In this Tech Research Brief, we will explore how the use of technology tools and embedded supports are an effective way to help struggling students acquire the necessary skills needed to be college and career ready.
