That'sNotCool is a website designed to help youth develop, set and enforce their own boundaries for phone and text communication. Sponsored by Futures Without Violence, the Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women and the Advertising Council, the site uses audio, text and video to demonstrate controlling, pressuring and threatening behavior and suggests possible strategies to be considered by youth experiencing any of these issues. Simulations, Two-sided Stories, Games and "Call Out Cards" help visitors explore their evaluation, thinking and responses to such possible issues as invasive texting, e-stalking and requests for inappropriate pictures. A forum provides a venue for sharing experiences, ideas and opinions. The site provides links to service providers who deal with many of the more serious issues that teens may face and is a good resource for any teen, family member or teacher.
