New Electronics: Turn Them On for Learning

In this article, NCTI and CITEd offer research summaries and practical applications of how to integrate technology tools into classroom instruction. Suggested assistive technology tools include text to speech (TTS), speech recognition software, graphic organizers, visual representations and virtual manipulatives, and digital media supports. As the evidence shows, integrating technology tools and resources increases students creativity, literacy skills, and confidence as digital citizens.
