Assistive Technology for Socialization

The use of Assistive Technology (AT) to support socialization as well as suggestions on how to use social stories to teach social skills and use picture schedules as visual representations of a specific activity or routine are the focus of this issue. Also included are feeling charts to teach children to verbalize feelings and cue cards to assist children conveying emotions. To assist families and providers choosing assistive technoloy for socialization, a list of major questions are included as guidelines.
