Systematic Review of Studies Promoting the Use of AT Devices by Young Children with Disabilities

This research synthesis reports on a meta-analysis of studies investigating the use of five AT devices with young children with disabilities. Results showed that, regardless of the child disability or severity of intellectual delay, the use of AT devices were related to improvements in child outcomes. Included is also a discussion of the importance of the use of evidence-based training methods for promoting practitioner's and parents' use of AT. -Research Brief 8(1)
